Governor of Hadhramout, the Commander of the Second Military Zone General Faraj al-Bahsani has been acquainted with the UNICEF's programs and activities in the province.
In his meeting with UNICEF Protection Officer Fathia Hassan on Friday, al-Bahsani confirmed that the local authority gives special concern to programs of protecting children and works with all concerned bodies for this purpose, as well as cooperation with UNICEF for implementing psychological and capacity building projects.
He praised efforts of the organization for providing help in this field, calling for more support to the province.
For her part, the UN official made it clear that her visit to the province focused on protecting children, especially in capacity building, juvenile justice, birth certificates, psychological and social support and enabling teenagers.
She praised cooperation of the local authority and concerned bodies in Hadhramout with the UNICEF for implementing a number of programs and activities.
