Yemen's Ambassador to Russia Ahmad al-Wahishi discussed Wednesday with Member of the Russian Federal Council means of parliamentary cooperation in the framework of mutual relations between Yemen and Russia in humanitarian and economic fields.
Al-Wahishi reviewed latest developments in Yemen under current conditions, confirming significance of peace as Yemeni choice for stopping bloodshed and serving interests of the people.
He pointed out to government's keenness on alleviating humanitarian suffering by the citizens over Houthi coup and embodied by government's acceptance of transferring patients from Sana'a Airport for medication in Jordan and Egypt.
He pointed out that Stockholm Agreement represents the first step in this framework despite Houthi rejection to implement its articles and tracks, confirming the role of the International Community and countries of the Arab Coalition for supporting Yemen and its legality and its efforts for peace, which included signing Riyadh Agreement and its significance to Yemen.
For his part, the Russian official confirmed significance of activating parliamentary relations and boosting cooperation between the two countries in different fields and contribution in realizing peace.
