The Yemeni government has reiterated its call to the international community and the Security Council to provide assistance in finding possible ways to resume oil and gas exports as a crucial step towards achieving stability and economic recovery.
Jordanian exports to the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) by the end of last February of this year increased by 12.2 percent, reaching 515 million dinars, compared to 459 million dinars for the same period last year.

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik urged updating higher education curriculums, improving its quality and outputs.
" Quality education must be in focus of the Yemeni Universities. Curriculums need to be modernized to produce the needed outputs that can serve the development's objectives ", said Ma'een.
As he presided over a meeting of the board of directors of Abyan University on Tuesday Ma'een underlined the significant role of the Yemeni universities in raising awareness and promoting tolerance. He said" The Yemeni universities and academic elites have an important role to play at this critical stage. They must help cultivating the culture of coexistence that denounces extremism and terrorism".
The discussions touched upon the development plans of Abyan university, the problems it has been facing and suggestions to manage them.
