Minister of Public Health and Population Nasser Ba'om sponsored Sunday here distribution of medical equipment and appliances to 17 hospitals in 10 provinces worth USD 3.2 million.
The equipment and appliances, which have been provided by World Health Organization and donors of King Salman Center for Relief, the UAE and the World Bank, medication and diagnosis sets and electric generators.
Ba'om praised the generous support of the WHO and donors, who contributed in supporting and recovering health sector in Yemen, stressing best use of the equipment for improving health services.
For their part, directors of hospitals and health centers praised efforts exerted by the leadership of health ministry for providing the equipment and medicines.
