Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

DSF launches second phase training program

Developing Skills Fund (DSF) in Aden launched Monday the second phase of 2019 Training Program in technical and vocational fields.

In the launching ceremony attended by deans of vocational and technical institutes and directors of private centers in Aden, Executive Director of DSF Abdullah Daghem made it clear that the fund aims at boosting skills of youth in different specializations and technical and vocational training fields for improving their livelihoods and qualifying them to enter labor market.
He pointed out that the second phase of the program targets 2000 male and female trainers.

Daghem added that the fund singed cooperation and partnership agreements with Jusur for Training and Youth Civilizing Corporation for providing skills to trainers and facilitated loans to owners of small projects for contributing in developing society in different technical and vocational sectors.

He pointed out that the fund targeted 3000 youth in six programs in 2018 and 5700 trainers in 2019 within 12 training programs on three phases.

For his part, Director of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Aden Abdullah Bin Sifa' praised the role of the fund in training youth in different development skills, confirming that the office will provide all necessary facilitations for the fund to implement its programs.
