Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Najib Al-Awj, chaired today in Amman, Jordan, a special meeting for international donors and development partners to Yemen organized under the auspices of the World Bank.
In a speech, he presented the Yemeni government's visions and initiatives to address the political, economic, development and humanitarian challenges.
The Minister stressed the importance of the role of the international community in supporting the restoration of the Yemeni state and stability and the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement between the government and the Houthi coupist militia.
He pointed to the government's struggle to resume basic services, revitalize state institutions, curb the devaluation of the national currency, and stabilize the payment of public salaries within the available local resources and the received support from donors.
