The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has in partnership with the Agriculture Ministry launched a training course for the groups and associations of water users an farmers in the field of solar powered irrigation systems.
The two-day course is acquainting 20 participants from Shabwah and Abyan about introducing, installing, operating and maintaining these modern irrigation networks. The learned expertise will help ration the use of waer and lessen the depletion of underground water reservoirs
