Yemen, GCC discuss supporting health sector

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Nasser ba'Om discussed on Sunday with Director of Health Council at the GCC Sulaiman al-Dakhil activating the Anti-Malaria National Program and rehabilitating the National Center for Combating Malaria in Abyan.

The meeting also included buying vehicles and sprayers to the center.

The two parties discussed possibilities of establishing specialized centers for combating fevers in a number of provinces, mainly Hodeida, Aden, Taiz and Hadhramout to be financed by the GCC in addition to supporting central labs of health ministry.

The meeting dealt with training and qualifying Yemeni medical cadre in a number of Gulf countries and activating technical comities between the ministry of public health and GCC's Health Council.
