President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi along with Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh and Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik received on Tuesday the UN's envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths and his accompanying delegation.
The session aimed to discuss peace prospects and the implementation of Stockholm's Agreement.
President Hadi praised good offices have been made by Mr Griffiths to establish peace that is based on the three terms of reference including GCC's Initiative, its operational mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and UNSCRs namely 2216.
The President has stated that legitimate government and Arab Coalition member states have been very keen on establishing the peace that Houthi rebel militia doesn't understand its meaning only invoke it when they are in retreat in order to buy more time to establish barricades, plant landmines to kill innocent of the Yemeni people.
He pointed out to the populations' suffering in Hodeidah due to Iran-allied Houthi militiamen who messed with humanitarian aids, smuggle Iranian weapons and devoted the resources to fund their war on Yemenis, besides recurrent attacks on International maritime navigation and threatening neighboring countries.
President Hadi said" The implementation of Hodeidah agreement is first step toward establishing peace and building necessary confidence, otherwise there is no point of delaying that Houthi rebels always have been famous for".
The President stressed the importance of setting out specific dates to put implement Stockholm's Agreement and to be committed to.
Mr Griffiths expressed pleasure to convene this session which comes within the course of consultations with His Excellency the President who hold sincere intonations toward peace.
He said" We're working on evacuating the seaports, opening routes to Red Sea Silos and implementing Stockholm's Agreement's articles including prisoner-exchange and addressing humanitarian troubles, and the International Security Council will be detailed about the outcomes of these steps".
Foreign Minister Khaled AlYemany and Director of Office the Republic Presidency Dr Abdullah al-Alim were in attendance.
