Minister of Fishery Wealth Fahd Kafayen has confirmed that the ministry has approved great program and plans for improving fishery sector.
The program includes recompensing fishermen in coastal provinces over catastrophes and war effects, rehabilitating fishery establishments and improving performance of their cadre, as well as approving data bases and audit and activating marine control.
Kafayen presided over a meeting for officials in fishery sector here for discussing activating fish unloading center, fishery monitoring and data and compensating fishermen, who affected by catastrophes and cyclones.
Representatives of fishermen, fishery societies and fishery union reviewed challenges facing fishermen and their societies in the coasts of Shabwa, Hadhramout and Socotra.
