Egypt welcomes results of Yemen's peace consultations

The Arab Republic of Egypt welcomed the agreement and understandings announced about today Thursday after concluding Yemeni peace consultations in Sweden on Hodeida City, its ports, exchanging prisoners and kidnapped people and onTaiz City.

"What has been accomplished is a significant and prime step in the framework of reaching to an inclusive and political solution in accordance with the UN Resolution 2216 and the rest of other relevant references of the admirable solution in Yemen," said the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a release.

The release valued international and UN efforts exerted for realizing agreements and understandings in Sweden consultations.

The ministry stressed significance of continuing with the positive spirit and committing to implementing what has been agreed upon for ending suffering of the Yemeni people.
