Yemen Condemns Terrorist Drone Attacks Against Saudi Arabia Launched from Iraqi Territory

Oil production in al-Uqla oilfield rises to 17 thousand barrel daily

Governor of Shabwa Ali al-Harithi and Deputy Minister of Oil Saeed al-Shammasi visited on Monday Sector 2 at al-Uqla Oilfield, Arma' District and discussed with the Director of Austrian Company OMV Bernhard Krainer via Satellites a number of issues associated with the company's activities and its future investment plans.

Al-Harithi renewed support to the company and keenness on the success of the company's investment activities and hoped resumption of the operation of the company.

For his part, al-Shammasi praised cooperation between the ministry and the province and congratulated the province on success of resuming productive activities.

He directed giving employment priorities to people where the company operates, praising national expertise which manages operations at al-Uqla Oilfield and its success of rising production from five thousand barrel to 17 thousand a day during the past three months.

For his part, the director of the company expressed worm thanks to the ministry and the province for supporting the company resume its investments in Sector 2.
