Prime Minister Dr. Ma'eenAbdulmalik inspected on Wednesday the International Highway linking Yemen with the Sultanate of Oman after being destroyed by the tropical storm Luban resulting on blocking the road.
Prime Minister arrived at Tanhala hill at the highway, the hill road has been swept by floods an inspected nearby areas.
Listeningto details on repairing process, Prime Minister urged speeding up of accomplishment to open the highway as soon as possible. The highway is considered the eastern entrance of the country.
"The government will exert all efforts for reconstructing al-Ghaitha city and districts of Masila, Sayhoot, Qashen and Hasween as the very affected from the tropical storm," he said.
He added that the government and the local authority will decide on plans and measures for protecting the province against similar natural catastrophes and will re-build the infrastructure in proper way to avoid what happened last week.
