Yemen's Ambassador to China Mohammed Al-Mikhlafi along with Arab Ambassadors in Beijin discussed Thursday with the General Director of West Asia and North Africa Department in the Chinese Foreign Ministry Deng Li the latest developments about the situations in Yemen, with focus on the humanitarian suffering that Houthis putschist militia produced.
The meeting also touched upon the legitimate government's comments about the Team of Experts of the UN High Commissionaire of Human Rights. The report included much of misinformation, lacked professional criteria and impartiality, mired by allegations made it unreliable and impartial.
The Ambassador stated that Iran's support for the Houthi putschist militia politically, financially and media, providing it with weapons, drones and ballistic missiles have been key factor for prolonging the war. As a result the rebels have continued to refuse to come to peace.
Al-Mikhlafi called on the International community and Chinese government to seriously mount pressures on the Houthi putschist militia to comply with the UNSCRs, mainly 2216. He also called for urging Iran to stop meddling in Yemen's internal affairs through its support for the Houthi militia.
The Chinese official reaffirming his country's support for the legitimate government under President Hadi's leadership, reiterating China's call for getting the Yemeni crisis resolved through peaceful methods and dialogue based on the key terms of reference.
He stated that China through its new ambassador to Yemen will pursue its efforts along with the legitimate Yemeni government and the speciall envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen in order to reach a peaceful solution to the crisis.
