Yemen's info. Minister surprised by Humanitarian Coordinator's statements
[15/08/2018 12:27]
ADEN-SABA

Minister of Information Muamar al-Iryani expressed his surprise over the bias of the Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen to the side of Iran-backed Houthi militia.

" The recent statements of the coordinator and her visit to Dhahyan District in Sa'ada Province reaffirms bias of the United Nations' mission in Yemen to the side of the rebel militia and depend on misleading information provided by coupists without return to the legal government, preceding results of the fact-finding team on different issues, including Dhahyan incident," said Minister al-Iryani.

Al-Iryani wonders why the coordinator has not visited Hodeida city, where Houthi militia commits the most heinous crime against civilians on daily basis or why she does not visit Taiz and other provinces where the militia carries out the worst crimes against civilians.

"This is not the first time the humanitarian coordinator releases its decisions on the bases of information of the rebel militia, days earlier, she issued biased rules to the side of the rebel militia in the incident of shelling civilians in fish market and the gate of al-Thawra Public Hospital in Hodeida City by mortar shells and the Humanitarian Coordinator attributed the crime to the Coalition, the matter then was corrected by the Office of the High Commission of the Human Rights in Yemen backed by document and field information and confirmed that the shelling resulted from mortar shells launched from the militia- held areas," said al-Iryani.

He confirmed that Iran-backed Houthi militia deliberately targets civilians directly seeking to gain sympathy of local and international public opinion.

The statements of the coordinator of humanitarian affairs encourage the criminal militia on committing more crimes against civilians, said Minister al-Iryani.
