Foreign Minister Khaled Alyemany praised the historic friendships relations between Yemen and Russia. Underling the importance of celebrating the 90th Anniversary of architecting these distinguished and fruitful friendship ties. The two countries are planning cultural, political and scientific activities to mark the 90th Anniversary in November.

Alyemany's statement came during his meeting with Sunday the Russian Ambassador to Yemen Vladimir Dedoshkin. He highly appreciated Russian principled stance in supporting the legitimate government and making significant contribution to the relief actions in Yemen.

The UN envoy's efforts aimed to carry out his proposal about the city of Hodeidah and ensure the militia's withdrawal from the city and the two harbors of Al-Salif and Ras Essa were a central focus of Alyemany's discussions with Dedoshkin.

He said "The government welcomed the UN's initiative and dealt positively with its all articles to give the UN's envoy a chance to produce positive outcomes, but the militia has once again proved that it doesn't believe in peace option and keeps on maneuvering to buy more time to further reinforce its military capacities in the city".

He asserted that the government has been determined to get the entire west coast cleared of the militiamen.

The Russian diplomat stated that it is very important to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of establishing Yemeni-Russian friendship relationship. He voiced willingness to coordinate with the Foreign Ministry and different Yemeni institutions about this end.
