Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher has reiterated the legitimate government's support for the efforts have been made to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace in Yemen that should based on the GCC's Initiative, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.

His statement came as he met Monday with the British ambassador to Yemen, Michael Aron.

The meeting devoted to discuss underway efforts have been made by the UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffith aiming to make peace in Yemen.

Mr Griffith current round of consultations prior to brief the UN SC on his proposal for the peace negotiations were key focus of Bin-Dagher's and Aron's conversations.

Bin-Dagher made clear that peace can't be established in the country unless coup is put down, militia withdrawal from cities and hand over weapons they looted.

He stated that Iran's recent statements about Yemen have proved that Houthi militias are acting as Iranian agents and proxies to undermine Gulf states' and Arab security and threaten international navigation in Bab Al-Mandab and Red Sea.

Bin-Dagher expressed his appreciation for the British role in supporting legality and the Yemeni people.

The British ambassador reiterated Britain's support for the legitimate government and its actions aiming to normalize the situations.

Mr Aron noted that the British government will provide the Yemeni government with necessary support to counter terrorism, maintain the country's unity and stability, as well as to alleviate the Yemeni peoples' torment.
