Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr met the Chinese acting ambassador to Yemen on Friday.
They discussed the relations of cooperation between the two countries, especially the economic cooperation.
They also discussed the latest developments as Houthi rebels continue their armed insurgency and the Yemeni hopes for an international role to enforce the terms of reference for peace in the country and put pressure on Iran to halt the insurgency of its proxy militia of Houthis.
Bin-Daghr said the Houthi rebels are the ones who triggered the war and the ones who can bring it to a halt by complying with the national and international demands for their handover of weapons and cities.
He said that the government is keen on achieving peace out of its care about the people. But, he said, that the root of the problem is that Iran is maintaining the supply of arms and finance to the rebels to perpetuate their war.
