Human Rights Minister pays inspection visit to victim of Houthi torture

Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Askar paid an inspection visit to Jamal al-Maamari a young Yemeni activist disabled by torture in Houthi jail in the capital Sana'a.
Al-Maamari had earlier arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh after he was released from three years of detention where was tortured to paralysis by the Iran-backed militant rebels.
Askarchatted with Al-Ma'amari, over his experience in the rebels jail, congratulatinghim on his release saying the government attaches utmost priority to following up on the detained and forcibly disappeared in the rebels jails.
Al-Maamari was subjected to various forms of physical and psychological torments. The physical included severe assault and to electrocution and sleep and food deprivation.
