The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Yemen participates in the meetings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and celebration of the 30th ceremony of establishing it.

The meetings commenced activities on Wednesday and attended by representatives from 185 countries and the European Union.

The Head of the General Authority for Protecting Environment Dr. Abdulqader al-Kharaz represents Yemen in the meeting, which lasts for 16 of this March.

The meeting discusses a number of issues associated with climate change and revision of reports on emission and greenhouse gases, as well as studies, future researches and relations of climate change on seas and temperature.
