Presidential Decisions Bring Historic Gains for Yemeni Women

The recent republican decisions issued yesterday, Thursday, marked a new turning point in promoting the participation of Yemeni women in decision-making positions. The decisions included the appointment of Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al-Zouba as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, making her the first woman in the country's history to hold this sovereign portfolio. Governor inspects preparations for updating Socotra Port

Governor of Socotra Ahmad Abdullah al-Socotri inspected on Sunday final preparations for updating the Port of Socotra Archipelago.

Khalifa bin-Zayed Al Nahyan Corporation for Humanitarian Activities finances the projects .

These projects include paving 110 meter of the port as expansion, fencing and lightening it, asphalting the whole dock and launching the 100-ton lift. They also include inaugurating the port's two managements, the custom of the port after rehabilitating it and launching a new plan for boosting the port's marine activity.

Al-Socotri praised the updating process, which will increase the port's activities, valuing efforts of brothers for their generous support for all sectors in the province.
