President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has called on the Yemeni public in all areas controlled by the Houthis "to revolt in the face of these militias and resist them."
In a televised address to the nation on Monday hours after the militias killed their ally the former President Ali Saleh switching side to the government, Hadi said: "I call on the Yemeni people in all provinces which still under the control of these terrorist militias "to revolt in the face of these militias and resist them. And our army will be in their support. We have issued directives in this regard."
"Yemen is going through a defining turning-point that requires more alignment and steadfastness to counter those sectarian dynastical militias."
"I condole out people for all those who were martyred today and in the past two days in the Sana'a uprising (against Houthis) on the top of them the former President Ali Abdullah Saleh."
Hadi said the uprising against Houthis in Sana'a was for "its Arabism."
Hadi called on all the leaders and grassroots "of our GPC party to unify behind their legitimate leadership and the constitutional legitimacy and legitimate government for all the Yemeni people from Mahra to Saada."
