Yemen Govt condemns Manhattan terrorist attack

"The Government of Yemen strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack that took the lives of eight people and wounded 11 others in Manhattan, New York city on Tuesday October 31, 217," a statement from Yemen's foreign ministry said.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wish those injured a full and quick recovery," added the statement.

"The Government of Yemen stands with the Government and people of the United States, reiterating its strong rejection of all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms."

The statement highlighted the importance of international collaboration to uproot the threat of terrorism and drain its source of finance, saying "all nations that believe in peace will not yield in to terror acts but carry on battling them and cracking down on their doers until that is done with forever."
