Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi has acquainted the President and CEO of the International Crises Group, Jean-MarieGuéhenno, on the political developments in Yemen.
He informed him about the government's agreement to the UN Special Envoy Ismail OuldCheikh's proposals regarding the Hodeidah seaport, revenue collection and payment of salaries overdue to public employees.
He said Yemen is open to all peace proposals out of its concern about the suffering of its people, unlike the Saleh-Houthi coup militias.
Guéhenno said such meetings are useful and informative to his group about the Yemeni overall landscape, and that the group's aim is to lay objective recommendations to decision makers that may contribute to resolving the conflict.
He said his fellow experts are seeking to cover all parts of Yemen including Taiz in their visits to find and disseminate the facts of what is going on in Yemen.
