VP directs gov't to look after families of killed and abducted journalists

Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh has directed the government to "look after" the families of the journalists killed or abducted by the Saleh-Houthi coup militias.

In a meeting with members of Sadaa, an advocacy group concerned with journalists, in Marib on Monday, the Vice President said the journalists sacrifices signal the coupists ugly intolerant face toward opposing views and freedoms and serve as foundations for a federal Yemen.

He called on the journalists to go ahead "in their noble mission", saying the media contributes to achieving victory and construction in the country. He also directed the government to reinstate the journalists militia-sacked journalists back to their jobs.
