Vice President Ali MuhsinSaleh haspraised efforts exerted by diplomatic efforts made by the Japanese Ambassador to Yemen KatsuYoshie Hayashi and his role in enhancing friendship relations and cooperation between Yemen and Japan in different fields.
During a meeting held Saturday in Riyadh between Saleh and Hayashi on the occasion of the end of his assignment, Saleh hailed attitudes supporting Yemenis as well as humanitarian aids provided by Japan through UN organizations, the International Committee of the Red Cross and non-government Japanese organizations.
The ambassador was also briefed on Yemen's developments and efforts exerted by the legitimate government, stressing that peace in Yemen will be only achieved on the basis of the three terms of references which include the GCC Deal, the National Dialogue Conference's outcomes and the UN resolutions on Yemen.
For his part, the Japanese Ambassador expressed gratitude for the government for the facilities offered by the government during his tenure as ambassador to Yemen.
