The Yemeni Alliance for Monitoring Human Rights Violations (YAMHRV) has denounced the Saleh-Houthi militias' unfair trial of 10 journalists and referring them to the State Security Prosecution.
In a press statement, the YAMHRV said these trials were held in violation of the constitution which does not legalize specialized courts.
In addition these courts lack the minimum criteria qualifications to run fair trials.
The Alliance said the 10 journalists have been in forcible disappearance for nearly two years and had been subjected to the worst forms of psychological and physical tortures.
The Alliance demanded the quick release of these journalists and end of prosecution against their relatives.
It also called on the Arab and international journalists federations, the UN organization and the international human rights groups to take a prompt action to prevent the execution of these journalists and another reporter Yahya al-Jubeihi who had been given the death sentence in a shortly earlier trial.
