(Saba)- Minister of the Local Administration Abdul-Raqeeb Fatah discussed on Wednesday with Regional Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to the States of the Gulf Cooperation Council the possibility of conducting a joint program in the field of shelter and reconstruction of homes of displaced families in the liberated areas.
Fatah stressed the importance of providing service projects for displaced families and refugees in Yemen.
He also cited a number of issues relating to refugees and displaced persons in Yemeni governorates which may be implemented by UNHCR during the next stage.
He spelt out that bombing of cities and populated neighborhoods by the the militias increased the numbers of displaced families, demanding to swiftly deliver relief to them.
Khalifah highly appreciated the cooperation of the Yemeni government, reiterating that UNHCR in collaboration with the Yemeni government will implement a number of projects in the next phase.
