King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's Demining Project in Yemen, known as "MASAM" announced that its demining technical teams managed to remove 2500 of landmines, unexploded ordinances (UXO) and improvised explosives devices (IED) during the past ten days of this month July.
The Media Office of MASAM reported that the teams removed 1,293 of landmines, UXO and IED during the second week of July, included 1,218 UXO, 65 anti-tank landmines, 2 anti-personnel landmines and 8 IED.
Regarding the clearance operations, the MASAM's teams managed last week to clear an area estimated at 355,227 square meters of land, while the total area secured from the beginning of the month up to the 10th reached 667,491 square meters.
Meanwhile the technical teams have managed since the start of their operations in the Midi area to remove 10,736 of landmines, UXO and IED.
It is important to mention that MASAMA managed to remove 573,625 of landmines, UXO and IED since it has commenced its demining operation in June 2018 until the 10th of July 2026.
4045, 453 of UXO, 152,059 anti-tanks landmines, 7551 anti-personnel landmines and 8562 IED were removed.
