Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaibeh held talks on Sunday with Qatar’s Minister of Public Health, Dr. Mansour Al Mahmoud, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, focusing on strengthening joint cooperation in the health sector and enhancing coordination on regional and international health issues of mutual concern.
The discussions addressed prospects for broadening collaboration across various medical and healthcare fields in a manner that supports the development of Yemen’s health sector and improves the quality of services provided to citizens.
Dr. Buhaibeh commended the support extended by the State of Qatar to Yemen’s healthcare sector through direct assistance as well as initiatives implemented by the Qatar Red Crescent and Qatar Charity.
He particularly praised their contributions to the Heart, Vascular Diseases, Kidney and Organ Transplant Center in Taiz, noting that the facility has become a leading national institution for specialized treatment of cardiac and kidney diseases and organ transplantation.
