[22/10/2025 05:38]
ADEN-SABA
The Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh discussed today, Wednesday, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Deputy Head of the Indian diplomatic mission to Yemen Abu Mazen George bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Dr. Buhaybeh sought for establishing a sustainable health partnership that contributes toward improving medical services and treatment opportunities for Yemeni citizens.

To help in this, he called for activating the health cooperation agreement signed between the two countries in 2011.

The Minister praised the depth and strength of Yemeni-Indian relations, which have extended over decades of cooperation and friendship, affirming that India is one of the most prominent countries supporting Yemen in the health sector, whether by receiving Yemeni patients for treatment in its hospitals or through training and qualification programs for Yemeni medical staff.

The Indian diplomat affirmed his country's keenness to continue supporting Yemen in the medical and humanitarian fields, reviewing aspects of the existing cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of workforce development and facilitating the reception of Yemeni patients for treatment in Indian hospitals.

He stated that his country is willing to further increase the scope of cooperation to include supporting training programs, exchanging medical visits and providing the necessary facilities for patients and their companions during treatment in India.
