His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stated that any approach to put an end of the war in Yemen will never be successful, unless it deals with the Houthi militias as part of an Iranian cross-border scheme, and not as a local political party, warning that reducing any crisis of this kind to truces and arrangements for a ceasefire will lead to temporary risk management rather than building sustainable peace.

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council General Aydarous al-Zubaidi, , met with the British Ambassador to Yemen, Abda Sharif, and virtually with World Bank officials including the WBG Country Manager for Yemen Dina Abu-Ghaida, to discuss the current political and economic situation in Yemen.

The meeting focused on the electricity crisis in Aden and other areas, with discussions on immediate solutions and long-term strategies to address the issue.

The World Bank officials expressed their willingness to cooperate with the Yemeni government to implement urgent projects and develop a sustainable energy infrastructure.

The British Ambassador emphasized her country's support for efforts to improve basic services, including electricity, and highlighted the importance of stability in achieving peace.

General al-Zubaidi called on international partners to increase technical and financial support for infrastructure and vital services, particularly electricity, to improve the lives of citizens and enhance social stability.
