MOSCOW - SABA
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Thursday, in Moscow with the Ambassadors and members of the Arab diplomatic corps accredited to the Russian Federation.

The President briefed the Arab diplomats on the outcomes of his visit to Moscow and his fruitful discussions with President Vladimir Putin and senior officials in the State Duma and the Russian government.

He also updated the Ambassadors on the developments in the Yemeni situation, including the economic hardships and humanitarian challenges the Yemeni people have been experiencing due to the terrorist Houthi militias' war on the Yemeni people and the massive destruction they caused to infrastructure and basic services.

His Excellency highlighted the leading role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which contributed to the cohesion of Yemen's state institutions, greatly valued their developmental and humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people over the past years.

"Unless this support, the government today would be unable to deliver on its basic obligations, including the inability to pay employees' salaries," he said.

President al-Alimi spoke about the existential battle that the Yemeni people have been fighting for more than ten years against the project of the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia, saying "the Yemeni people are more determined today than ever to put an end of their suffering and to dismantle this project and its cross-border agenda."

The Chairman of the PLC confirmed that all efforts have been exhausted to push the Houthi terrorist group to abandon its racist approach and to respond to the popular will and the decisions of international legitimacy.
