The Republic of Yemen participated today, Wednesday, in the meetings of the twentieth session of the Senior Officials Meeting and the ninth session of the Strategic Political Dialogue at the senior officials level of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum, held in Rabat, Morocco.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Mansour Baggash contributed to the gathering deliberations.
Baggash highlighted the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between Arab countries and the People's Republic of China, and developing mechanisms for joint cooperation amid current regional and international challenges, praising China's pivotal role in supporting stability and development through the "Belt and Road Initiative."
He celebrated the historical relations between Yemen and China dated back to 1956, affirming the Yemeni government's aspiration to further expand areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in developmental and economic aspects.
Dr. Baggash deeply appreciated China's supportive positions in support of the Presidential Leadership Council headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Yemeni government and its support for Arab issues, first and foremost of which is the Palestinian cause.
