The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Yemeni National Bloc Meets with US Ambassador, Discuss Latest Developments

RIYADH - SABA
The Supreme Council of the Yemeni National Bloc held a crucial meeting with US Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, to discuss the latest developments in Yemen amidst the ongoing aggression by Houthi militia.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Yemeni National Bloc Dr. Ahmed bin Daghr commended the US efforts in supporting the legitimacy and praised the recent decisions taken by the US administration, including the designation of the Houthi militia as an FTO.

The National Bloc members highlighted the Houthi militia's refusal to engage in any serious political process and their unwillingness to abandon their coup or implement international references, including UN Resolution 2216.

For his part, Ambassador Fagin said that the militia's targeting of shipping lanes in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean poses a serious threat to regional and international security. He assured that the US takes these threats seriously and is committed to protecting common interests.
