The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Maj. General al-Zubaidi returns to Aden after a series of field visits to several governorates

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi came back today, Thursday, to the temporary capital Aden, after he paid field visits to several governorates included Abyan, Lahj, al-Dale'a, Shabwa, Hadramout, Mahra and Socotra archipelagos.

During his field visits, Maj. General al-Zubaidi accompanied by high-rank ministerial delegation and he held plenary meetings with the leaderships of the local authority, social dignitaries and community leaders of the governorates to discuss the topical issues and to know about the fellow citizens' needs and concerns.

Maj. General al-Zubaidi also launched the work on several significant projects in infrastructure of the basic services of education, transport, electricity and water within the ongoing efforts aimed to boost development efforts and improve basic services for the fellow citizens in the southern governorates.
