President al-Alimi convenes a meeting of the High Security Committee

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)—Commander-in Chief—a meeting of the High Security Committee (HSC) today, Sunday, in view of the developments of the situations on the national arena and the regional and international changes.

The meeting included the Minister of Defense, the Chair of the HSC, Maj. General Mohsen al-Daeri and the HSC's members, Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haidan, the Head of the Political Security Organization (PSO) Maj. General Ahmed al-Massabi, the Chairman of the Military Intelligences Commission Maj. General Ahmed al-Yafeaee and the Deputy of the PSO.

The Ministers of Defense and Interior and Heads of the concerned security bodies reported about the military and security situations, the ongoing efforts to establish security and stability in the temporary capital Aden and the government-held governorates.

The discussions touched on the security measures have been taken at the airports, seaports and land entrances within the efforts aiming to fight terrorism, control organized crime and maintain the security, stability and public safety.

The required measures to deal with the decision of the designation the Houthi militias as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) were deliberated discussed.

The deliberations also covered the coordinated efforts with the international community in accordance with the resolution of the Council of the National Defense to drain the sources of arming and funding the terrorist militias and deterring their practices that are destabilizing the national stability and the international peace and security.

President al-Alimi applauded the great sacrifices of the armed and security forces in the national battle against the Houthi-Imamate scheme backed by the Iranian regime, reiterating deep appreciation and gratitude to the brothers in Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their generous and continuous support to the Yemeni people and its struggle for security, peace and development.

The President emphasized on the importance role of the HSC in improving the security and military decision making and constant coordination with the Security Committees in the governorates and rapid response to the developments and changes taking place at various levels.

He emphasized that the HSC's has a key role to play to enable the Yemeni government to do its job as a reliable partner of the international community in fighting termism.

The Chairman of the PLC, Commander-in-Chief urged the HSC, security and intelligences bodies to double down precautionary security measures to counter the terrorist Houthi militias and their partners of the terrorist organizations in order to establish the security and stability and provide the international organizations, national institutions with the necessary protection in the temporary capital Aden and the government-held governorates.
