The General Authority of Civil Aviation confirms the need to obtain prior authorization to enter Yemen's airspace The Civil Aviation and Met. Authority, in the temporary capital Aden, confirmed that airlines, international organizations and operators must obtain a prior flight permission from the Authority to enter the airspace of the Republic of Yemen, as it is the official civil aviation authority of the country.

Maj. General al-Zubaidi arrives in Shabwa, launches officially Ataq airport operation after 10 hiatus

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi arrived today, Tuesday, in Shabwa governorate to get familiar with the situations and the needs of the fellow citizens there.

The Governor of Shabwa Awadh bin al-Wazir, the Chair of the Consultations and Reconciliation Commission Mohammed al-Ghaithi, the Commander of Ataq Military Axis Maj. General Adel al-Massabi and senior military, security and local authority officials received Maj. General al-Zubaidi at Ataq International Aiprot.

Upon his arrival Maj. General al-Zubaidi inaugurated officially the work of Ataq Airport to resume civil flights after a pause lasted 10 years.

Intensive efforts were exerted recently to get the airport repaired and furnished.

The Member of the PLC highly applauded the significant efforts made to repair the airport, affirming that putting the airport into operation is going to be a strong push to the development drive in Shabwa, it will contribute to ease the movement of the fellow citizens and boost economic and trade ties between Shabwa and other governorates.
