President al-Alim Calls for Wide-Ranging National Alignment to Restore State Institutions, Eliminate Coup

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces urged all Yemeni people to align themselves behind the State Proposal, support the Armed Forces in the security services in the ongoing battle to restore the State institutions and eliminate the coup. Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaya Zindani met with the US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin today.

Minister Zindani renewed the government's welcoming of the recent US administration decision to designate the Houthi militia as a foreign terrorist organization FTO.

He emphasized that this decision represents an important step towards drying up the sources of funding for these militia and their supporters, and reducing their threats to security and stability.

He laid emphasis on continuing cooperation and coordination between the two countries on various issues of common interest.

For his part, the US ambassador renewed his country's position in support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, and continuing cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields.
