Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badhib held talks with the UN Resident Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Julien Harneis here today over the progress of humanitarian work of UN organizations in the country.
Talks went over the steps taken to relocate the headquarters of UN and international organizations to the temporary capital Aden and the issue of humanitarian workers detained in the prisons of the terrorist Houthi militia.
They reviewed the humanitarian and relief aid issues and the impacts of cutting aid and support by donors reflected in increasing human suffering and consequently in the high rate of food insecurity and cases of malnutrition for the most vulnerable groups.
