[18/07/2024 03:05]
AMMAN - SABA
Yemen's ambassador to Jordan Dr. Jalal Ibrahim Faqira confirmed that the terrorist Houthi militias, supported by the Iranian regime, exploited the events in Gaza to show one-upmanship, skip the Yemeni reality and evade their obligations toward peace.

In a symposium organized by the Arab Thought Forum, Fakira reviewed the current developments and Houthi threat to the
security of international navigation in the Red Sea, and the direct and indirect impact of the rebel militia attacks in the Red Sea

on the global and Yemeni economy, the economies of the Arab countries overlooking the Red Sea, and the marine environment. Faqira pointed to the type of policies required to enhance the security of the Red Sea by strengthening the military capabilities of the Yemeni government and enabling it to build peace, impose concepts of security and stability, and support national capabilities, as well as increasing regional coordination of the countries bordering the Red Sea, establishing regional arrangements, and enhancing international cooperation to reduce the Houthi threat to the safety of navigation.
