Security police in Shehn district in Shabwa Governorate have busted a network involved in smuggling Ethiopian migrants to the Sultanate of Oman.
Deputy Director of Police at Shehn district Rashid Al-Salahi Saba that Shehn Police had caught several elements preparing to smuggle 213 Ethiopians to the Sultanate of Oman.
He said the campaign led to the arrest of 12 more people representing the network managing the smuggling of Ethiopian migrants. Members of the network included two money exchangers who undertook transfer of money between Yemen and Oman.
