The Security and Military Committee in Marib Governorate held an extraordinary meeting chaired by the member of the Presidential Leadership Council Marib Governor Sultan bin Ali Al-Arada to address many field developments, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Sagheer Hammoud bin Aziz.
The meeting reviewed the field and military situation on the fronts in light of the escalation of the terrorist Houthi group, the continuous mobilization and the sending of various reinforcements to the fronts.
The meeting stressed raising combat readiness, high vigilance, readiness to deal with any emergency, showing discipline and determination, and harnessing all available capabilities to support and enhance the capabilities of the armed forces, security, and popular resistance.
The Security and Military Committee said that it is following up on what some elements have done, targeting oil installations and military and security checkpoints, blocking roads, and threatening employees and workers of oil companies in the governorate.
The committee stressed that the armed and security forces will not tolerate those involved in these criminal acts that seek to destabilize security and stability, harm the nation’s sovereign economic facilities, and attempt to disrupt them in any way.
The Security and Military Committee directed all competent authorities to quickly collect evidence regarding the crimes committed, identify those involved in them, and refer them, along with the documents, to courts, and circulate their names at all land, air, and sea ports as a list of wanted persons.
The committee praised the political and tribal positions and the awareness of the people and residents of the governorate and their denunciation of the sabotage acts and their declaration of innocence of those behind them, calling on all citizens to rally behind the security and military institutions and support their efforts to confront these acts and those behind them and thwart the sabotage plans and cooperate with all military and security units assigned to carry out their constitutional duties in maintaining security, stability, securing roads and protecting public and private interests and property.
