Minister Badhib discusses strengthening cooperation frameworks with the UNHCR official

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badhib and the Director of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Muhammad Rafiq Nasri here today a number of issues related to strengthening the frameworks of joint cooperation between the Ministry and the UNHCR.

The meeting discussed the refugee situation and the exceptional efforts and endeavors made by the government to provide and deliver humanitarian aid to refugees despite the economic and living challenges it faces.

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation pointed out the importance of developing concrete solutions to refugee problems, especially illegal African immigrants to the country, and the resulting great pressures on all service sectors and aspects of life, stressing the need for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to play an active role in supporting the government’s targeted efforts.
