Leadership Council chairman receives UAE Ambassador

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi received on Sunday the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi.

In the meeting, the Emirati Ambassador conveyed to President Al-Alimi the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the United Arab Emirates and his wishes for good health for him and the members of the Presidential Leadership Council, and for the Yemeni people, security, stability, and peace.

In turn, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council conveyed through Ambassador Al Zaabi his greetings and those of the presidential Council members to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and his wishes of good health and happiness to him and the ruling sheikhs, and to the brotherly Emirati people all progress and prosperity under his wise leadership. The meeting touched on bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the promising prospects for strengthening them in various fields.

The meeting also discussed Yemeni developments, and the latest developments in international efforts to launch a comprehensive political process based on the laudable efforts led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a way that ensures the restoration of state institutions, security, stability and peace in Yemen.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council renewed the support of the Council and the government for all regional and international endeavors aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, ending the Houthi militia coup, and achieving comprehensive peace and a state of equal citizenship that all Yemenis deserve.

The meeting also addressed the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and its dangerous repercussions on international peace and security. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh.
