Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi and Member of the Council Aidrus al-Zubaidi have participated in the Opening Session of the Climate Summitt COP 28 is being held here.

President al-Alimi will deliver the speech of the Republic of Yemen to talk on impacts of climate changes on local level and needed support to improve national capabilities in facing them.

The session has been commenced with speeches of President of the UAE Shiekh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres.

The 28th Round of the Summit is being held this year under the motto of " Unity for the Sake of Implementation" to encourage international commitments for decisive procedure to keep global warming limited to 1.5 degree centigrade
