Planning Minister, CBY Governor participate in meeting for WB, IMF

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Batheeb and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmad Ghaleb participated Friday in the meeting of the Public Session for annual meetings of World Bank and International Monetary Fund Group.

The President of the World Bank Group Kristalina Georgieva reviewed capabilities and measures could be taken for contribution in ending poverty and facing global challenges.

The meeting, which was participated by governors of bank governors and the fund from the member countries, tackled efforts of the World Bank and IMF Group for helping countries of lower income in field of combating poverty.

The meeting touched upon WB's efforts to help developing countries on enhancing jobs and digital infrastructure, as well as helping countries on green recovery able for survive for all.
