Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, discussed with the UNICEF representative to Yemen, Peter Hawkins, the strengthening of the partnership between the Ministry and the organization, and its future areas.
During the meeting, which was held via video call, Minister Al-Sharjabi praised the distinguished partnership between the water and environmental sanitation sector in the ministry and UNICEF, which was a contributing factor to the stability of services at a minimum during the last period... pointing to the importance of strengthening joint work on developing projects related to water and sanitation issues.
Al-Sharjabi reviewed, with the representative of UNICEF, a number of topics related to the organization’s activity in the fields of water and environmental sanitation, including institutional building, the management information system (MIS), and the water basin management system in Yemen, stressing the great importance of continuing support for local water institutions.
