President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, inaugurated today, Monday, the first phase of the tourist and residential city of Marina project.
He also laid the foundation stone for the asphalting project of its entrance and surrounding streets, and inaugurated its second phase on the Arabian Sea beach in Al-Mahra Governorate.
The President of the Presidential Leadership Council listened to a detailed explanation from the director of the Marina Real Estate Development Company, which is executing the project, Ramzi Al-Masabi, about the components of the city, which is located on an area of one million square meters, with its residential, tourism and entertainment sections, at a total cost of $100 million.
His Excellency the President and his entourage toured the tourist and entertainment pavilions of the investment project, which, upon completion, will include more than 100 residential units in installments and more than 70 chalets distributed along charming sea resorts.
The project, which will be completed in 2028, also consists of a tourist hotel, a water park, a city of games, educational and health service facilities, a gas station, a commercial market, a kindergarten, and a security center.
The project will represent one of the largest tourism investments in Yemen, according to the best hotel designs and services, and as an integrated entertainment complex to host artistic performances and local, regional and international events.
The project will also represent a quality leap for tourism activity in Al-Mahra Governorate and an important source of local and national resources.
