Faqira discusses with Jordanian Minister of Communication the activation of media cooperation

The Yemeni Ambassador to Amman, Dr. Jalal Faqira, discussed today with the Minister of Government Communication and the official spokesman for the Jordanian government, Faisal Al-Shaboul, cooperation between the two countries in the field of media and activating technical cooperation protocols between the media institutions in the two countries.

They discussed the possibility of benefiting from the Jordanian experience in the field of educational and informational media and child and youth protection programs, and how to benefit from it, due to the negative mobilization the terrorist Houthi militia carries to recruit children to become a cannon fodder for the war that threatens security and community peace.

The ambassador referred to the destruction of media institutions in Yemen at the hands of the terrorist Houthi militia, and the establishment of alternative media platforms that fuel the war in Yemen, incitement to hatred, violence, psychological mobilization, directing unilateral extremist discourse, and broadcasting methods of social fragmentation and sabotage moderate Yemeni mindset.

For his part, the Jordanian minister stressed the specificity of the relationship between the two countries, expressing his readiness to strengthen it between media institutions and news agencies, and to provide technical support to build the capacities of these institutions, in a way that helps unite the media discourse, strengthen the cohesion of Yemeni society, and promote a culture of coexistence and tolerance, especially in light of the current circumstances that require more cooperation and solidarity to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
